the brief
Marc Anthony and Henry Cárdenas' child protection foundation needed to show donors the real dangers for children at risk in Latin America.
The solution: a short film fictional narrative showing the uncensored reality of life on the streets of Latin America, ending with documentary footage from the Maestro Cares facilities.
the approach
Mexico City and Toluca. 30 child actors and a dog.
Multiple locations: dirty streets, alleys, garbage dumps, a makeshift morgue.

Depicting real dangers: human trafficking, gang activity, substance use, hunger, violence, death.
Child actors' emotional and physical safety was a non-negotiable production constraint. A psychologist and parents were on set at all times.
SFX makeup and props to create the illusions. Shoot gave everyone a chance to give back and do some good.
